Eind 2013 is de aanvraag voor het project van de Ullo Widows Association In Development (UWAID) in Ghana voor \u201cLivelihood support for widows and orphans\u201d in Ullo ingediend. Het was een 3-jaren project dat tot eind 2016 doorliep. Nadat er nog enkele aanvullende vragen beantwoord zijn door de organisatie in Ghana, werd door Wilde Ganzen in 2014 het project goedgekeurd. Het project heeft de weduwen geholpen omdat er meer groenten werden verbouwd.<\/p>\n

Daardoor konden ze gezondere maaltijden voor hun gezin en familieleden bereiden.Ook heeft het voor extra inkomsten gezorgd door verkoop van een gedeelte van de oogst. Dat geld is besteed om hun kinderen naar school te laten gaan en schoolspullen te kopen.
